The cost of homeownership in the UK is rising and access to social accommodation has declined, meaning more and more people in the UK now rely on PRS (Private Rented Sector) housing.

The PRS and the BTR (Build to Rent Sector) have shown impressive growth in recent years as investors and landlords work to fill the gap and address tenant needs with their BTR developments, including student accommodation.

The entire approach to design and management advice has had to be adapted to move with the changing trends in how developers develop and capture tenants for their PRS developments. They are now retaining a long-term investment in their developments, rather than selling and moving on to the next development.

As a result, a different style of management service is required from their managing agents.

Clients now need more advice, early on, as to how they can future proof their investments and maintain their yield profile from the development stage to the management stage and through the entire life cycle of the scheme.
